Our Philosophy

Welcome! So you’ve found us. You might be wondering, why are we so passionate about cloth nappies? Well, lots of reasons. We believe making cloth nappies mainstream can really help reduce our global waste problem.
In the UK, every child born generates approximately 6,500 disposable nappies from birth to potty. That is around one metric tonne of dirty nappies going to landfill where it is estimated they take up to 250 years to decompose! If even a small percentage of us choose cloth nappies, collectively we can make a huge impact. You’ve probably seen the phrase ‘we don’t need one person doing zero waste perfectly, we need lots of people doing it imperfectly” - this is exactly what we are trying to help with!
The best bit? Once you’ve invested in a cloth nappy system, you can use them for subsequent children at no extra cost. And, just like those old towels in your bathroom, our 2 part nappies only get more absorbent with age. And finally, once your child is potty trained, your nappies can be resold and you can recoup some of your costs. Really when you look at it like this, it is hard to justify not using cloth nappies.
All LittleLamb nappies are made in a family-run factory in Turkey under ethical working conditions and are then shipped via road freight to ensure that we keep our carbon footprint to a minimum, giving you peace of mind. If you are a nappy fanatic (aren’t we all when it comes to cute prints?) you’ll notice that our packs and kits are incredibly affordable. Our view is simple: quality nappies shouldn’t cost a fortune, and everyone should be able to access functional cloth nappies.
As for sustainability - we’re glad you asked. Our hero fibre bamboo is one of the most sustainable natural fibres available; bamboo grows super-fast, doesn’t need a lot of water and doesn’t destroy the ground it grows on.
Finally, our packaging is proudly plastic-free and recyclable, so you can feel good about shopping with us every time a little fluffy mail parcel arrives at your doorstep. While we are not promising to be perfect, we try to do our best!
